After a long period without writing, I am back with news from 2012 and 2013. The year begins very well and full of work.
Dr. da Borracha has won the first prize of the Brazilian Object competition (see previous post) in the category of community and crafts. Last year we also worked in a visual identity for him and I developed a brand for him.
My work was published in the book Vitamin Green launched last year by Phaidom, it brings two beautiful and very well written pages about my work and of the Tecbor Project, from the chemistry laboratory Lateq from the University of Brasília - UnB.
In November 2012 I have been in Acre, Brazil, again, working with a rubber tapping community in an amazing project, which will be launched about April of this year. In meantime I keep working in my PhD about the design interface with productive and creative communities, now in The Centre for Sustainable Fashion at the London College of Fashion. Moreover new partnerships and projects with the rubber are sprounting, including an exhibition in Denmark in August. For all that I keep working hard listening to Laid Back Radio: http://www.mixcloud.com/LaidBackRadio.
